Bobby

Not much happened this week so I'll just give you a quick update on Jack. He had about three weeks off from school (daycare) while Kim was off work. During that time he developed a couple of tendencies. Let's hope they don't become habits.

He likes to be comfortable, or else he just likes his pajamas. Either way he doesn't want to change into regular clothes. We are both bigger and stronger than he is so you would think getting him dressed wouldn't be that hard. But the little kid is squirrelly. Throw in the screaming and you end up asking yourself it it is a fight worth winning. Over the break it wasn't. Of course it was so darned cold he couldn't go outside in just one layer so we left the jammies on and put more clothes on top. But by and large he's been wearing p.j.s for three weeks.

The other thing that's become noticeable is a step towards potty-training, or "bobby" as he says. It's not a good step though. Three or four times now he has pooped in his diaper then reached in and removed it. He would then run to Kim with a messy hand and tell her. When asked where it is he says "Bedroom. Floor." Or hall, or wherever. Of course we're thrilled that he is telling us but obviously we want him to give some advance notice. On the bright side, though, we are saving a bit on diapers. Actually he is making it to the potty about half the time.

I am like this Leigh Anne person who I do not know- hello leigh anne, me llamo niki.

Eli and I can and do stay in our jammies All weekend! when I was first unemployed, and patty and tess and i spent the bulk of our time smoking out back, i bought each of us 3 pairs of cheapo target sweats- so we could transition effortlessly from "evening wear, to daytime wear, and back again".

secret confesion time- tho i know troy has done this too- now that i am in school, i just sleep in my clothes- except for swithching into those sweats! makes getting ready in the morning a Breeze!

And, I am Such a good role model and mother, that eli now will only wear track pants- and sleeps in 'em half the time- tho big meany me- I make him put on a fresh pair and a clean shirt in the morning! i can Live with my fashion choices, but he is too young to end up as "you Know; Eli, the kid who wears the same clothes every day."

So jack Obviously has good taste since he is behaving like Leigh Anne and I- and our kids. and though it is gross- i find it charming that he poops, then tells you where- better than steppin in it right? he is one nifty little dude! and "bobby" is Precious!
